Your image of God shapes you. You become like the God that you worship. Grow in intimacy with God. Commit yourself to connect with God daily using your prayer language.

In this talk series, you will learn about praying to the “right” God.
We are supposed to pray every day. But if we are not praying to the ‘right’ God, then our daily prayer will make our life worse, not better.
Many of us go through life with a distorted image of God. We know God loves us. It’s written in the Bible. But somewhere deep inside we feel like God doesn’t really like us, that God is obsessed with our sins, that God is constantly trying to catch us with a hand inside the cookie jar.
But what if this image of God is simply an image of how we see ourselves – with self disdain.
In our mind, God is some benevolent tyrant that wants our attention and allegiance. And if we give Him our love, He will be kind to us. But if we did not give Him our love, well, He will punish us and send us to hell forever. And every time we pray we would feel that God was so ashamed of us.
Friends, our God is a merciful and loving God. His mercy and love will conquer this wrong image. God’s mercy and love will conquer our shame, our self-hatred.
In this talk series, expect to experience a different God.
A God who first saw us as His child before our being sinner.
A God who saw our good before our bad.
A God who is not obsessed with our sins, but obsessed with how wonderful we are.
A God who celebrates in us. A God who cherishes us. A God who really, really likes us.
