TODAY, we start our new series, CITIZEN: How To Build a Nation.
Politics during Lent? In this Talk series, we are looking at political issues from lens of faith.
Our key passage today is perfect for Lent. Because during Lent, we fast. But today, instead of us just avoiding sweets, God is inviting us to a deeper kind of fast.
The key message: “God is The Restorer.”

Today, Talk 2 is titled We Have Dual Citizenship.
The key message: God Made You Filipino for a Purpose.

Talk 1, titled God Likes Politics, presented God as being very active in nation-building. He is concerned about the welfare of the world—because He cares for you.
Talk 2 is titled We Have Dual Citizenship. The key message: God Made You Filipino for a Purpose. (If you’re Indonesian or American or Singaporean or Indian, or other nationality, please change “Filipino” to your own nationality.)
Talk 3 is titled We Are World Changers. Yes, God made us for a purpose and that purpose is for each one of us to be a world changer. God’s plan is to rebuild Eden in our world—and He wants us to build it with Him.
How?
Talk 3 recalls the story of Adam and Eve, the way they disobeyed and changed God’s plan for all of us to be in Eden, the Paradise God intended as our Home forever. Talk 3 also presents Bible stories where God was calling people back to Eden.
The key message of Talk 3: “God is calling you back to Eden.”

Talk 4 ends our amazing series, CITIZEN: How To Build a Nation. But this isn’t just a Talk. After the talk, we have a short time of intercession—to turn over the Philippines to King Jesus.
But before we pray for our country, we need to be clear with what we’re praying for. We need a clear vision for our country.
To get that vision, ask this question: What happens to a people when Jesus is King?
